On April 15, 2010, Pres.Bob Roth, Mo Roth, Bob Timms, Joan McGuire, and Marge & Hank Koehler delivered dictionaries to three classes of students at McKenna School in Massapequa N.Y.The faculty & students were very glad to receive the gifts that will help in their education.
Seaford Manor School Rug Map Presentation
On April 14, 2010 at the Seaford Manor School in the all-purpose room where the South Bay Life member Club of the Verizon Telecom Pioneers presented a large colorful rug map of the United States of America.This will be used by the fifth grade students as a learning tool to better understand the geography of America.
Beach Dune Planting
On Saturday March 20, 2010, the TeleCom Pioneers planted dune grass at Tobay Beach to prevent beach erosion. Charlie Nicolas Environment Chairperson, Bob and Mo Roth, John Niesen, Jean Kohler, Bob and Cathy Timmes and Marge & Hank Koehler attended the yearly Dune Day event.
